Apacer makes breakthrough with its exclusively developed industrial SSD: SDM 7P/180D-LP SSD (SATA Disk Module 7Pin/180Degree-Low Profile) featuring compactness, patented connector, and unique hook design, all of which were highly acknowledged and favored by the judges, making the product win the honor of the “18th Taiwan Excellence Award” among the 717 products from 325 companies.

Apacer, as a leading embedded storage system product manufacturer, exclusively launches one of the lightest and smallest industrial SSD (solid state disk) with only 6 grams in weight: SDM 7P/180D-LP. The unique hook design of the product, along with the patented innovative concept of ridding of power cables, fully demonstrates the advantages of the shockproof feature and built-in power supply, maintaining signal integrity and greatly increasing product stability.

For the exterior of the product, this SATA interfaced SSD is designed to be only 12% the size of a 2.5-inch hard disk. Different from the monotonous design of typical ones, it is finely proportioned at 2:1 ratio with smile-like curve in the front side. The U-shaped troughs at both sides give better grip when users are removing/plugging the device, while adding more flavors to the sophisticated design. The slim size enables a compact design space for client's system and also conforms to the trend of product miniaturization. Apacer takes a positive view on its application to the 1U enterprise server market that requires slim chassis design.

The Taiwan Excellence Award, held by the Bureau of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Economic Affairs, is the only one award in the world that emphasizes the overall performance of a product.
